Increased prize money for 2022

Thanks to Turner Woodard from Leading Lights for his generosity in supporting the Kenyon Midget Series. His support is making it possible to add two different increased payout programs for Kenyon Midget racers in 2022. In total, these programs provide up to $5000 in prize money to be distributed to racers in the Kenyon Midget Series.

  • Dedicated Racer Bonus: For 2022, we are implementing a purse bonus for racers that participate in at least 8 races this season. Starting with your 8th race, your purse payout will increase by 50% over the standard purse payout. So no matter where you finish, you will win more money when you join us for 8 races or more! This is a way to reward our most dedicated racers, and encourage you all to run more races this season. More racers attending more races will help us continue to grow the Kenyon Midget Series!

  • Leading Lights Championship Podium: Our series partner Leading Lights is stepping up to increase our end of year payout to the top 3 finishers in our points standings. Once fully implemented, the Leading Lights system will clearly identify the top three racers on the track. And now Leading Lights will also recognize our top 3 finishers in the championship point standings by funding our Championship Podium payouts. The 2022 Leading Lights Championship Podium payout will be:

    • 1st: $1000

    • 2nd: $600

    • 3rd: $400

This is a 150% increase in payout compared to 2021.
