Richardson likes atmosphere of series

During the 2024 Kenyon Midget Series Brian Richardson spent time with the team of Lee Pierce, that relationship has resulted in a full campaign for the Brownstown resident.

Richardson, 36, comes to the series with experience racing a dirt late model. “I never had the results I was hoping for (in the late model),” he explained.

Richardson said he helped Pierce a lot last year and the result was in purchasing of a Kenyon Midget.

“I really like the group of people around the series,” he said. “Its a family atmosphere and everyone is helping each other.”

Richardson is hoping to run the entire 2025 season schedule, but said the Michigan races could be problematic.

As could be expected, Richardson said he will work with the Pierce team of father and son, but will run his own car. He has not turned any laps in a Kenyon Midget and is looking forward to the test sessions to start the season.

Richardson said he is looking forward to racing at Anderson Speedway, but realizes it will be a challenge. “I have no set goals,” he said. “I'm looking to get a bunch of experience. I want as much track time as possible.”

Richardson said he likes to race on dirt and is hoping additional race dates will be added in 2025 on a dirt oval.

His car will carry the number 68, which was his uncle's in the past.
