Ohio teenager anxious to run Kenyon Midget Series

Ohio high school senior Andrew Wall is hoping that competing with the Kenyon Midget Series will open opportunities in other forms of open wheel racing.

Wall, 17, will be competing during the 2025 season in a Kenyon Midget for Brad Hayes Racing. He tested at Anderson Speedway last year, and is looking forward to getting back in the car for the upcoming season.

Wall has been racing for the past three years in go karts and consistently found success in the venue.

“I started out on X box and that got me hooked on racing,” he said.

“I decided to run the Kenyon Midget because of the weight change,” he explained. “I'm bigger than a lot of the other competitors and weigh 190 pounds. In karting I was 30 pounds over the weight limit.”

Wall said the one thing he noticed about the Anderson Speedway oval was the G forces in the middle of the corners.

He is looking forward to a new experience by racing on a dirt oval in 2025 and racing at Berlin Raceway in Michigan. “I've never been there,” Wall said of Berlin. “But I have watched the racing there and it looks challenging.”

He said the future will depend on what opportunities come in racing on dirt or other racing venues. “I live close to Eldora (Speedway),” Wall said. “I would like to get to race there in a sprint car. I'm an open wheel type of guy so I will see where things go in the future.”
