Isaac Johnson is coming into the 2025 Kenyon Midget Series with prior experience, having run a handful of races in the past. Johnson, 24, ran with the Kameron Gladish team for two races in 2021 and four races with Brad Hayes Racing in 2022.

He earned the Advanced Racing Suspensions Hard Charger award in the last race of 2022 at Anderson Speedway by finishing 5th after starting 13th.

“I've been focusing on ARCA,” Johnson said of the past few years as a teammate to Anderson native, Greg Van Alst “I’m excited to be back in the Kenyon Series to continue developing as a driver,” he said. “As a developmental series, you get a lot of it for how much it costs to race these cars and bridges the gap from racing karts to open wheel and full-bodied stock cars.”

Johnson will be racing for Brad Hayes Racing again this year and wants to contend for the championship. “The goal is to win some races and stay sharp for future opportunities in ARCA or the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series,” he said.

Johnson said running Anderson is a lot of fun, but admitted it took two or three races to figure it out in the past.

He is looking forward to the race at Paragon Speedway, which is close to where he grew up in Martinsville. “I spent a lot of nights at that track,” Johnson said.

He is also looking to return to Salem Speedway, where he raced to a sixth place finish in an ARCA race on the half-mile.

“I haven't been on a flat track in a Kenyon car, so that will be a learning experience.”

Johnson has lined up sponsorship support from his employer George E. Booth Company, King Ribs Bar-B-Q, Indy Soft Wash, Elite Performance, Superior Touch Cleaning, Brother’s Body & Paint, sconi.com, Timbar, and Pearce Bespoke.

He currently resides in Westfield and works as a Project Acquisition Manager for the George E. Booth Company.
