Trisdon Brown stepping up to midget competition

By Ken de la Bastide

Trisdon Brown was looking to step up in 2024 to run senior karts but there has been a change in plans. He has several kart wins and fast times at the Sarah Fisher owned facility in Indianapolis. Brown had been planning on following up his racing career in karts by advancing to micro-sprints.

“Bob East said I should try a Kenyon Midget,” he said. “I'm hoping to run the full season, but it will depend on any possible conflicts with the Silver Crown series,” Brown said.

Brown, 21, works as a technician at an automotive dealership and works for East in his shop and at races.

“I'm going into the first race just trying to get familiar with the car and get some laps in,” he said. “I need some seat time.”

Brown said he tested a micro on dirt in the past.

“I love racing on dirt,” he said.
