With a decade of experience with the Kenyon Midget Series, Hoosier driver Ryan Huggler is hoping to put together a strong season. Huggler with three career wins with the series, closed out the 2022 campaign with third place finishes at Anderson Speedway and U.S. 24 Speedway. In his 11 starts last year, Huggler finished in the top-five on five occasions and came home fifth in the point standings.

“We're planning to run the full schedule,” Huggler said of the upcoming season.

Ryan said his brother, Logan, is now living in Tennessee and is planning to run a few events.

“We struggled at times last season,” he said. “Toward the end of the year we had some descent runs.”

Ryan said he's excited about the upcoming season and the addition of new tracks to the schedule.

“I'm looking forward to Paragon,” he said. “I'm a big dirt racing fan and tend to run stronger on dirt.”

Ryan also likes the fact that six of the Kenyon Midget Series events are being run as companion events to the 500 Sprint Car Tour that will be broadcast. “It's nice that family and friends that can't make it to a race will be able to watch,” he said.

Huggler said with his experience, he is hoping to put together strong point season runs in 2023 and 2024. “It would be nice to have another couple of good point years,” he said. “At some point I would like to race a full-size Midget or Sprint car.”

Ryan is currently a junior at Butler University studying for a degree in marketing.
