Hill likes transition from karts to Kenyon Midgets

What is becoming a recurring theme for the 2023 Kenyon Midget Series is drivers and teams making the transition from karting. Jeff Hill is planning to campaign one Kenyon Midget full-time this year, sharing the driving duties with Kyle Sheard.
Hill owns a company in Modoc that sells custom race trailers, Jeff Hill Trailer Sales.
“Our goal is to run the full schedule,” Hill said.
Hill, 45, has been racing karts for the past 12 years and for the past three years has been competing at the national level. Sheard will be sharing the duties at approximately half of the Kenyon Midget Series events.
“It has been a long-time dream,” Hill said of the opportunity to race at Anderson Speedway and other venues in the Midwest. “I grew up watching races at Winchester and Anderson.”
Hill said he sold a trailer to Glen Main, whose son Tony, races sprint cars, and he noticed the karts. “He (Main) said you should look at the Kenyon Midget Series,” he said. Hill purchased the Kenyon Midget from Ed Gaines for the 2023 season.
“The goal is to have three or four Midgets,” he said. “Finding drivers won't be a problem. This is a great transition from karts to racing on dirt and pavement ovals.”
Hill said he plans to run the first race at Anderson Speedway and all the events in conjunction with the 500 Sprint Car Tour and at least one race on dirt. “Neither one of us has raced on dirt,” he said.
Hill said his family has been friends with Kyle's family for many years.
